It looks like The CW is
looking to cast for the second season of The Flash, Ex-S.T.A.R. Labs scientist Dr.
Kimiyo Hoshi, also known as the hero Doctor Light. The character was first
referenced in the nineteenth episode of Arrow's second season, The Man Under
the Hood.
Hoshi is not the original
Doctor Light, the first character to use that name was a villain called Arthur
Light. Murphy Anderson, Gardner Fox, and Mike Sekowsky created him in 1962, and
he could, among other abilities, become invisible, fly, create energy based
constructs, force fields, manipulate energy, and blast energy.
In The New 52, she and Arthur
were revealed to be married.
