Keiynan Lonsdale has landed
a recurring role in second season of the fastest show on Earth, The Flash. The
young actor will play Wally West in The CW's superhero show, which will return
on October 6.
"Just like when
we met Grant for the first time, we instantly knew Keiynan embodied all the
heart and courage of a hero," said The Flash's executive producer Andrew
Kreisberg. "We are so excited to be bringing this much-beloved
character onto the show."
In addition to Wally,
and the titular hero, the second season of the scarlet superhero show will also
include fellow speedsters like Zoom, and Jay Garrick.
In the comics Wally
West is Barry's nephew, who joins his uncle under the Kid Flash alias.
Following Barry's death saving the multiverse, West becomes The Flash.
Keiynan is best known
for his small role in Insurgent.
