Starz has released the first official image of Bruce Campbell in his glorious
return as Ash in the upcoming Ash Vs. Evil Dead 10-episode series. The image
also features Ash's Value Stop co-workers Pablo, played by Ray Santiago, and
Kelly, played by Dana Delorenzo.
"He’s the only one stupid enough to really tamper
with those spirits," told producer and director Sam Raimi to EW. "And
he does. But he’s also still a really good monster fighter. So, he’s also going
to be kicking some deadite buttocks, if you’ll pardon the French."
While star and fellow producer Bruce Campbell added "It’s The Searchers with
carnage and mayhem. I’m relegated a little bit into the John Wayne mode these
days with my team—the young, virile, evil fighters who will pair up with Ash
and take on this nemesis: this never ending, ever evolving nemesis."
Scheduled to premiere in late 2015 the series also stars Lucy Lawless as
Ruby a mysterious figure who believes Ash is the cause of the Evil outbreaks.
Jill Marie Jones as Amanda Fisher, a disgraced Michigan State Trooper set
to find our anti-hero Ash and prove his responsibility in the grisly murder of
her partner. Ray Santiago as Pablo Simon Bolivar, an idealistic immigrant
who becomes Ash’s loyal sidekick. Mimi
Rogers as Suzy Maxwell, a woman who is reunited with her family and
several uninvited guests after a freak accident, and Dana DeLorenzo as Kelly Maxwell, Suzy's moody wild child
trying to outrun her past.
Campbell will be reprising his role as Ash, the stock boy, aging lothario
and chainsaw-handed monster hunter who has spent the last 30 years avoiding
responsibility, maturity and the terrors of the Evil Dead. When a Deadite
plague threatens to destroy all of mankind, Ash is finally forced to face his
demons –personal and literal. Destiny, it turns out, has no plans to
release the unlikely hero from its “Evil” grip.
The cast is led by Bruce Campbell (Evil Dead, “Burn Notice”) in
the role of Ash Williams, Lucy Lawless (“Salem,” “Spartacus”) as Ruby a
mysterious figure who believes Ash is the cause of the Evil outbreaks, Jill
Marie Jones (“Sleepy Hollow”) as Amanda Fisher, a disgraced
Michigan State Trooper set to find our anti-hero Ash and prove his responsibility

Fockers) as Pablo Simon Bolivar, an idealistic immigrant who becomes

Christmas) as Kelly Maxwell, a moody wild child trying to outrun her past.
