Kung Fu Panda, Balls
of Fury, and Fanboys actor Dan Fogler has been cast in David Yates' upcoming
Harry Potter spinoff franchise, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, which
takes place 70 years before the events of Harry Potter, and follows a
magizoologist by the name of Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) in his travels to
find and document all sorts of magical creatures.
Fogler "beats"
Josh Gad, Michael Cera, and John Krasinski to the role of Jacob, a Muggle and
enemy of Scamander.
Besides Redmayne and
Fogler, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is packed with talent like
Alison Sudol and Katherine Waterston as a couple of witches that meet Scamander
in New York, and future Flash, Ezra Miller.
Fantastic Beasts and
Where to Find Them opens on November 18, 2016.
