The Weinstein Company has released 35 new images from Antoine Fuqua's upcoming
boxing drama, Southpaw, which stars Jake Gyllenhaal as former Junior
Middleweight Boxing Champion of the World, Billy “The Great” Hope, who goes on
a downward spiral after a tragic death hits close to home. Now with nothing
left to lose and everything to gain, Billy must fight his way to the top and
win the one he loves.
Scheduled to premiere on July 24th, Southpaw also stars Forest Whitaker,
Rachel McAdams, Oona Laurence, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, Rita Ora, Naomie
Harris, Victor Ortiz, and Clare Foley.
From director Antoine Fuqua (TRAINING DAY) and writers Kurt Sutter (SONS OF
ANARCHY) and Richard Wenk (THE MECHANIC) comes SOUTHPAW – the story of Billy
