After landing the
Barry Allen, aka The Flash role in Warner Bros. DC Cinematic Universe, Ezra
Miller is now being eye by the studio to integrate yet another franchise.
According to Variety,
Warner is circling the actor for him to take on a role opposite Eddie Redmayne,
and Katherine Waterston in the upcoming Harry Potter spinoff, Fantastic Beasts
And Where To Find Them. Apparently, both parties have discussed the possibility
of the actor playing a character called Kredan.
As for the other two yet
uncast leading roles, Variety adds that Alison Sudol is director David Yates favorite
to play Queenie, Tina's (Waterston) younger sister, while Josh Gad and Michael
Cera have had meetings with the studio to play Jacob, Scamander's (Redmayne)
rival.
Steve Zissis (Her), Zack
Pearlman (Mulaney), and Dan Fogler (Secrets and Lies) were also rumored to be up for the Jacob role.
Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them is being planned as a new franchise
set in the wizarding world after Harry Potter with the first film scheduled to
premiere on November 18, 2016.
