Warner Bros. has brought
in Bradley Cooper, Todd Phillips, and American Sniper's producer Andrew Lazar to
produce a feature film adaptation of Elizabeth Sayles and Rick Beyer's incredible The
Ghost Army Of World War II: How One Top-Secret Unit Deceived The Enemy With
Inflatable Tanks, Sound Effects, And Other Audacious Fakery book.
Earth to Echo scribe,
Henry Gayden has been tapped to pen the adaptation of the real story about the
23rd Headquarters Special Troops, aka Ghost Army, a unit composed of artists,
actors, architects, and designers including Bill Blass, Ellsworth Kelly, Arthur
Singer, Victor Dowd, Art Kane, and Jack Masey. The unit's mission was to deceive
the enemy as to the numbers and whereabouts of the Allied forces through phony
convoys, inflatable tanks, sound-effects, make believe headquarters, and much more.
"The Ghost Army of World War II is
the first publication to tell the full story of how a traveling road show of
artists wielding imagination, paint, and bravado saved thousands of American
lives."
You can check out the
