Being in high-demand
means be able to pick and chose what kind of projects you want to do, and for
Alicia Vikander that means starring alongside Matt Damon and Julia Stiles in the
fifth Bourne installment.
After an astonishing
performance in Alex Garland's Ex_Machina, the Swedish star, who still has Tulip
Fever, The Man from U.N.C.L.E., The Light Between Oceans, and The Danish Girl
coming up, decided to go with Bourne 5 over Assassin's Creed, where she would
co-star with Michael Fassbender, and Marion Cotillard.
According to
Deadline, Vikander's decision came down to schedule, which didn't allow her to
do both projects, hence why she opted to "star" in Paul Greengrass'
return to the franchise.
Viggo Mortensen has been
offered the lead villain role in the film, which is scheduled to open on July
29, 2016.
