Warner Bros. has released the first red-band trailer for the directorial
debut of John Francis Daley, and Jonathan Goldstein's Vacation, starring Ed
Helms as Rusty Griswold, who in an attempt to get his family to bond decides to
redo the glorious family vacation he took when he was younger to America's
"favorite family fun park", Walley World.
Vacation also stars Christina Applegate as his wife Debbie, and Steele
Stebbins, and Skyler Gisondo as their sons Kevin and James.
As expected from a
red-band trailer it pushes the jokes to their max, with a feces covered
Christina Applegate, or a Chris Hemsworth that would make Mark Wahlberg's Dirk
Diggler character from Boogie Nights blush. Vacation also seems to
be very self-aware that it is a sequel.
Opening on July 31st, Vacation also stars Chevy Chase, Beverly D'Angelo,
Leslie Mann, Chris Hemsworth, Charlie Day, Michael Peña, Nick Kroll, Regina
Hall, Samm Levine, Keegan-Michael Key, and Kaitlin Olson.
The next generation of Griswolds is at it again. New Line Cinema’s “Vacation,” starring Ed Helms (“The Hangover” films) and Christina Applegate (the “Anchorman” films), takes the family on the road for another ill-fated adventure. The film marks Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley’s directorial debut.
Following in his father’s footsteps and hoping for some much-needed family bonding, a grown-up Rusty Griswold (Helms) surprises his wife, Debbie (Applegate), and their two sons with a cross-country trip back to America’s “favorite family fun park,” Walley World.
