20th Century Fox has tapped Green
Lantern, and Heroes co-scribe Michael Green to pen the script for the upcoming sequel
to The Wolverine, which will reunite star Hugh Jackman, and director James
Mangold.
According to The Wrap, Green, who
recently co-wrote the script for the highly anticipated Blade Runner, and
Prometheus sequels, replaces David James Kelly in what will be Jackman's last
outing as the character.
Patrick Stewart recently teased that
Professor Xavier maybe be joining Wolverine in this next entry of the
franchise.
The Wolverine 2 is expected to hit
theaters on March 3, 2017.
