It looks like DC's
upcoming animated film, Justice League: Gods and Monsters, written by Bruce
Timm, and Alan Burnett, is going in a completely new direction from what we are
accustomed.
Superman was raised
by migrate farmers, and is the son of General Zod. Kirk Langstrom is the Dark
Knight of this world, and while attempting to cure himself of cancer he inadvertently
becomes a vampire of sorts. Wonder Woman seems to be a New God, and is married
to Orion until something goes wrong and she ends up on Earth. Lex Luthor on the
other hand is more interested in knowledge than power, however as usual things
are not as they seem.

Blu-ray of Batman vs. Robin.
As for the story is
seems that it "centers around the murder of
prominent DC Universe scientists like Ray Palmer, Victor Fries, Silas Stone and
others that the Justice League is being framed for. They attempt to investigate
these murders while dealing with mounting pressures from outside sources. Didn’t
get too deep into it."
