Last week we reported
that Daniel Radcliffe was eyeing the upcoming adaptation of David Kushner's
2012 book, Jacked: The Outlaw Story of Grand Theft Out, where he would play Sam
Houser, the creator of the Grand Theft Auto videogame. Today, THR reports that
Bill Paxton is in talks to join the project as Jack Thompson, a nutcase of an attorney
that heavily campaigned to ban the videogame from ever hitting the stores, and
who was eventually disbarred in 2008 due to his unorthodox methods.
Director Owen Harris
(Misfits, Black Mirror) is set to direct the adaption penned by James Wood.
Grand Theft Auto is
schedule to begin principal photography on April 20.
