This past Saturday former
Doctor Who, Harry Potter villain, and Star Wars lightsaber builder (Clone Wars)
actor David Tennant attended North Carolina's Wizard World. There the actor spoke
briefly about Netflix's upcoming A.K.A. Jessica Jones, his love for comics, and
their significance to the World.
"You
should read these scripts. They’re really good," was the only thing the
actor said of the Marvel series, before joking about the famous Marvel snipers.
Tennant, who is a long time comic book fan also shared his excitement about
being able to work with Marvel. "This is something I grew up with",
said the actor "It’s like my eight year old self doesn’t know what to do
with himself."
The
actor also spoke about his love for the medium, and its cultural impact. "I
think comic books are a glorious wonderful art form and I think Marvel is one
of the things that we’ll be looking back on in a hundred years’ time, they’ll
be one of the cornerstones of our cultural existence."
