A casting
call for the previously announced three mystery roles in The CW's upcoming
Arrow/The Flash spinoff has emerged via TVLine.
"THE TRAVELER" - A Han Solo-esque rogue who gets by with
his charm, this hero hails from the future, and has journeyed back in time on a
secret mission. His razor-sharp wit hides the pain of a man who has lived
through serious conflict. He also harbors many secrets, always leaving both
his teammates and the audience unsure of his true allegiances.
Who could he be?
It depends. Rip Hunter, and Booster Gold immediately jump
to mind. Rip Hunter is a normal man, who uses his Time-Sphere to travel through
time. Booster Gold is another time travelling hero that with the help of his
high-tech armor and trusted robot Skeets thwarts the plans of many villains.
"FEMALE WARRIOR" - This twentysomething Latina is pretty
but unassuming, book smart and socially awkward by day. But by night, when she
hears the cry of battle, her fury is ignited and she becomes a fierce warrior —
so much so, that sometimes she can become a threat to others.
Who could she be?
Pantha and Wildcat (Yolanda Montez) are strong
possibilities, with the stronger one being Pantha or Rosabelle Mendez, who was
a New York student that was kidnapped and experimented upon by Steve Dayton (Crimelord).
After her godfather Ted Grant (Wildcat) is injured, Montez makes use of her
superpowers (claws and superhuman agility) and takes up the Wildcat mantle.
"MYSTERY HERO" - An African-American male in his twenties will
fill the role of a regular, street smart guy who unexpectedly gains powers, and
then, as part of the team, regularly quips about the insanity of the
situations.
Who could he be?
There a number of characters, that fit the
description. Static, Black Lightening or even Black Vulcan could possibly be
making its way to the upcoming spinoff, though the last time I heard Static was
getting his own standalone series, so it's unclear if there will be two shows,
if the previous one has been scraped, if it's not him, or if it will be the
spinoff of the spinoff.
