Months after the
initial fortunate mishap of leading fans to believe that he was working on an
Alien film by sharing some concept art, director Neill Blomkamp revealed there
was a high degree of chance that it would actually happen. Now via his
instagram account the director is officially announcing that he will in fact be
bringing the Xenomorphs back to the big screen.
Variety is confirming
that 20th Century Fox has officially signed on the director to helm the film
set within the Alien world, but that it's separated from Ridley Scott's
Prometheus.
In a previous
interview, Alien veteran Sigourney Weaver revealed that her interest about
returning to the franchise peeked after seeing Blomkamp's concept pieces and
ideas about his take on the franchise.
