We knew that the Lucifer
pilot had been given the ok to move forward, but now Deadline reports that Len
Wiseman (Underworld, Total Recall) will be adding director to the executive
producer titled that he shares with Tom Kapinos, Jerry Bruckheimer, and
Jonathan Littman.
Spinning off Neil Gaiman's Sandman series, Lucifer "centers on Lucifer who, bored and unhappy
as the Lord of Hell, resigns his throne and abandons his kingdom for the
gorgeous, shimmering insanity of Los Angeles, where he opens an exclusive piano
bar called Lux."
Deadlines also adds that the shows previous logline (above) as evolved
to a police procedural with Lucifer helping out the LAPD punish criminals.
