Scoot McNairy's role in Zack Snyder's Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice
still eludes us. After being spotted on set wearing a pair of green (CGI
friendly) socks, speculation had him as the Flash, Metallo, or a wounded Jimmy
Olsen. While refusing to revealing his character, the actor did reveal to USA
Today Snyder is "an incredible filmmaker and an incredible visionary," adding that "playing in that world with comic
books you’ve been readings since you were a kid, being someone in that world,
it’s awesome."
As I said the actor didn't reveal who he might be playing the film, he
did however offered a couple of details.
"It’s definitely 100% a
character I’ve never played and I can’t speak too freely on it, but yeah,
getting into that thing was definitely something I had to wrap my head around
emotionally in order to play that character. But with that being said, I had a
lot of fun doing it when I was in the process of shooting on it — my head was
in a different place but I’m really excited to see how it turns out and what
they do with it and see the film."
There are a couple of interesting things in his answer. First he says it
won't be a character that he already played…(hmm)…so does this mean he
won't be playing Jimmy Olsen since he already played a photographer in Gareth Edwards Monsters?
The second one is that he says he had to get "into that thing", what
thing? an armor of some kind? Could he be playing Metallo?
What do you think?
