We are still a few months away from the midseason
return of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., but while speaking to TV Line,
executive producers Maurissa Tancharoan, and Jed Whedon offered a few teases as
to what we might expect from the return.
By now we all know that Skye is in fact Daisy Johnson,
an Inhuman, whose powers got activated when she was exposed to the Terrigen
Mist produced by the Obelisk. However since the Inhumans feature film is still
a long way away executive producer Maurissa Tancharoan says that there will be
a "blending and merging" of certain parts of the source material in
order to explain their presence in the show.
Of course, while we, and some
characters (the Man With No Eyes) are aware of what's going on, Skye
"doesn't necessarily know what's happening", says executive producer
Jed Whedon. "All of it will be tied to a very sad event in losing a dear,
dear friend" in Agent Tripp. "It'll be a complex journey", says Tancharoan.
Meanwhile Raina's own mystifying transformation
will be revealed, and we will learn the name and agenda of the mysterious Man With No Eyes.
