Christopher McQuarrie's fifth
installment in the Mission: Impossible franchise is the latest one to feel the force
of opening near J.J. Abrams' Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Like DreamWorks Kung
Fu Panda 3 before, Paramount also decided, that perhaps opening Mission:
Impossible 5 next to the new Star Wars film would be unwise, and unhealthy to
the box-office results.
According to Deadline the
studio has decided to open Mission: Impossible 5 five months earlier than
expected on July 31, 2015 instead of December.
Mission: Impossible 5 stars
Tom Cruise, Jeremy Renner, Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, Rebecca Ferguson, and Alec
Baldwin.
