Greg Berlanti Talks Casting, Crossovers, & Tone In Supergirl TV Show

News from The CW's Winter TCA's continues to arrive, and this time it's from CBS' Supergirl show and the possibility of it  crossing over with either Flash, Arrow or both. Instead of commenting on whether or not Supergirl might crossover with the Scarlet Speedster and Emerald Archer shows, The CW's President Mark Pedowitz told reporters to go and ask executive producer Greg Berlanti.

"So much has to go right for us to be able to make a great show. Again, I think of myself as like if I were watching them, I would want to see [them crossover]. But we have to get so many things right to make a good show and so much of it is luck, unfortunately."

A few weeks ago casting director David Rapaport teased fans with the imminent casting of the lead character. Now that some weeks have passed Berlanti promises the same about the casting, but adds that tonally Supergirl will resemble more like the Flash than Arrow.

"I hope you’re going to hear about casting soon or we’re not going to be able to make the pilot! I would say, tonally closer to Flash than Arrow. That’s probably the best way to say it."
