Director Gareth Evans punched his way into the zeitgeist with his 2011 Indonesian
martial arts film The Raid. The well paced, and brilliantly executed action
thriller led Evans not to immerse himself in another project but to direct a
sequel instead. The Raid 2 was born and talk about a sequel being better than
the original. Bigger World, new villains, more intrigue left fans of the
franchise begging for more, unfortunately this time around the sequel is not to
be, at least for now.
According with Evans The Raid 3 won't be happening anytime soon. The script
isn't done, but he has ideas.
. @GundamFan4Life The Raid 3 isn’t going to be happening anytime soon. Ideas in my head. Nothing written. No set date. 2018/19 possibly.

In the meantime, Evans is on location scouting for his upcoming gangster
film titled Blister, which will be shooting in the U.S., and he is also
developing a heist movie for Universal, which will take the director to the U.K.
