Although references to the 2008 The Incredible Hulk
are slim at best, it seems that Marvel considered bringing back Tim Roth as
Emil Blonsky, aka Abomination for Avengers: Age of Ultron.
Speaking to Crave Online, Roth was asked if there was
any chance of perhaps reprising his Incredible Hulk role in an upcoming MCU
film?
"They were going to do it," Roth said.
"They did do that. They were thinking, in The Avengers 2 or
something. There was a movie we could do that at one point, but way back when.
It just kind of got swept under the carpet I guess. That would be hilarious."
It's worth noting that although characters like Major
Glenn Talbot have returned to Marvel's shared universe in Agents of
S.H.I.E.L.D. no one from the cast of The Incredible Hulk standalone film, which
is also part of the MCU have returned.
