With
Roberto Orci no longer attached to make his directorial debut with Star Trek 3,
Paramount and J.J. Abrams have set their eyes on five directors to take the
helm of the Enterprise. According to Deadline the studio has met with Rupert
Wyatt (Rise of the Planet of the Apes), Morten Tyldum (The Imitation Game),
Daniel Espinosa (Safe House), Justin Lin (Fast & Furious), and finally
Duncan Jones (Moon).
Of
the list two directors will be busy for quite some time. Espinosa is starting
the prep for Boston Strong, a film about the Boston Marathon bombing and the
manhunt for the terrorists, while Duncan Jones is busy with Warcraft.
