It’s a fact that Gotham has taken
some liberties with some characters from the Batman mythos, mainly their ages
so it's not entirely surprising that when it was rumored that the Graysons
would be making an appearance on the show some fans imagined a young Bruce
Wayne meeting a Boy Wonder of the dame age.
Well it seems that we can now breathe
a little bit easier as according to the show creator, Bruno Heller, there won't
be any little Robins on the show.
“We’re going to do a prenatal origin
story for Robin down the line,” Heller said. “There are no
MRIs involved. There’s an episode coming up where we learn how Robin’s parents
got together.”
As for another character that has
been rumored to show up in the series, Harley Quinn, Heller believes fans might
have jumped the gun on that, so to speak.
"We haven’t got Harley Quinn in
it. Riddler’s girlfriend is coming up. And Harley Quinn is definitely planned
for later on, but so far no.”
Heller revealed early on that Joker
would be teased in almost every episode of the show, and now that the
criminally insane have all been transferred to newly refurbished Arkham, we may
be seeing him and one Dr. Harleen Quinzel in the near future. What do you think?
