Oscar Isaac has been
cast to play Apocalypse in Bryan Singer's X-Men: Apocalypse. According to Variety,
the actor has signed on to play En Sabah Nur, best known as Apocalypse.
X-Men: Apocalypse
will be set in the 80's and "will have more of the
mass destruction that ‘X-Men’ films, to date, have not relied upon. There’s
definitely now a character and a story that allow room for that kind of
spectacle," said Singer in a previous interview.
Isaac will next be seen in yet another franchise, the
highly anticipated Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
Set
construction for Apocalypse is schedule to start this December with principal
photography for next April. X-Men: Apocalypse is set to open on May 27, 2016.
