has unveiled a brand new still from the upcoming second season of Marvel's
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., which according to executive producer will continue
with the momentum gained from the end of the first season.
"Once
we could say the word HYDRA, it's been a sprint, and we're planning to just
keep sprinting." He adds that as the new "director"
of S.H.I.E.L.D., Coulson "will have to make some hard decisions, but unofficially, on the run
and with people gunning for him." He also says that such questions
as what to do with Ward, Skye's father, and Fitz/Simmons tension will be dealt
in the season opener.
Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. returns on September
23rd, and will star Clark Gregg as Phil Coulson the new director, Ming-Na Wen
as Melinda May, Brett Dalton as Grant Ward, Chloe Bennet as Skye, B.J. Britt as
Antoine Triplett, Iain De Caestecker as Leo Fitz, and Elizabeth Henstridge as
Jemma Simmons.
Joining the new season are Kyle MacLachlan as Skye's
myterious father, Lucy Lawless as Agent Isabelle
Hartley, Brian Patrick Wade as Carl "Crusher" Creel, aka The
Absorbing Man, Adrianne Palicki as Bobbi Morse, aka Mockingbird, Reed Diamond
as Daniel Whitehall, Nick Blood as Lance Hunter, and Henry Simmons as Agent
Alphonso "Mack" Mackenzie.
