Principal photography on director Peyton Reed's
Ant-Man began today. Now Marvel has announced that John Slattery will be
returning to the MCU to play Iron Man's father, Howard Stark, a role he played
in Iron Man 2.
In addition to Slattery's return, Marvel has announced
that Bobby Cannavale, Michael Peña,
Abby Ryder Fortson (Togetherness), Judy Greer, Wood Harris (Remember the Titans),
Gregg Turkington (The Comedy), and T.I. (American Gangster) have also joined Paul Rudd, Michael Douglas, Corey Stoll, Evangeline Lilly, and
David Dastmalchian in Ant-Man, which is set to open on July 17, 2015.
Ant-Man Official Synopsis:
Armed with the astonishing ability to shrink in scale
but increase in strength, con-man Scott Lang must embrace his inner-hero and
help his mentor, Dr. Hank Pym, protect the secret behind his spectacular
Ant-Man suit from a new generation of towering threats. Against seemingly
insurmountable obstacles, Pym and Lang must plan and pull off a heist that will
save the world.
