After his brief appearance as a young police officer
in Joss Whedon's The Avengers, Dollhouse star Enver Gjokaj returns to Marvel
universe as Agent Daniel Souse in the upcoming Agent Carter tv series.
According to THR, Gjokaj "will meet Carter
while she takes on a new role at the pre-SHIELD Strategic Scientific Reserve in
New York City."
Joining the show is also the One Tree
Hill, and Fruitvale Station star, Chad Michael Murray, who is set to play SSR
Agent Jack Thompson.
Captain America: The Winter Soldier
directors, Anthony and Joe Russo will direct episodes two and three of the
series, while Captain America: The First Avenger director, Joe Johnston is
rumored to helm episode four.
Marvel's Agent Carter,"
starring "Captain America's" Hayley Atwell, follows the story of
Peggy Carter. It's 1946, and peace has dealt Peggy Carter a serious blow as she
finds herself marginalized when the men return home from fighting abroad.
Working for the covert SSR (Strategic Scientific Reserve), Peggy must balance
doing administrative work and going on secret missions for Howard Stark all
while trying to navigate life as a single woman in America, in the wake of
losing the love of her life--Steve Rogers.
