Mr. Freeze Joins Gotham Show

In a previous interview, pilot director and executive producer, Danny Cannon revealed that he would like to add Mr. Freeze to the upcoming Gotham. Now while attending SDCC'2014, Cannon spoke to Digital Spy, and confirmed that Mr. Freeze will join the show, and that his origin will be based on science.

"Without giving too much away - because I'm not allowed to - the great thing about working on a CSI procedural show for so long was we worked with so many experts - specialists in each field," he explained. "There's a lot of things I picked up along the way.”

"My first conversation with [showrunner] Bruno Heller about the villains in this show is always that they need to be very credible and relatable and the science behind them needs to be real.”

"So I had a couple of stories that I'd held onto - real, true stories - and one of them just related to Mr Freeze. I know a real way to create an origin story."

Gotham stars Ben McKenzie (Detective Gordon), Donal Logue (Detective Bullock), Zabryna Guevara (Captain Essen), Sean Pertwee (Alfred),Jada Pinkett Smith (Fish Mooney), Robin Lord Taylor (Penguin), Erin Richards (Barbara Kean), Drew Powell (Butch Gilzean), David Mazouz (Bruce Wayne), Camren Bicondova (Selina Kyle, aka Catwoman), and Corey Michael Smith (The Riddler).
