Back in
April, Mark Ruffalo revealed that he and Andy Serkis were working together on
the Hulk performance capture. Last week,
Serkis talked about his involvement in the movie and revealed that he and his
performance capture studio, The Imaginarium were consultants on the project,
saying:
"The
Imaginarium is the performance capture consultant, and I’m playing a role [in
both, Age of Ultron and Episode VII]."
What I deduced
from the comment was that he was the performance capture consultant, and that
he does have a role in the movie, but as it seems, some people got "confused"
by the statement, so HitFix had to go and ask one of their sources close to the
project if Serkis had or not a role in the movie.
"...They clarified
that he is only playing one character in the film, and that the nature of that
role is still meant to be a secret."
The sources also revealed that Serkis' role in the Age of Ultron isn't
one of the already announced characters.
"I can confirm,
though, that he is not playing any of the already announced characters, and
that James Spader handled his own performance capture duties as Ultron."
Opening on May 1st, 2015, Avengers:
Age of Ultron stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, Scarlett
Johansson, Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner, James Spader, Thomas Kretschmann, Aaron
Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen, Cobie Smulders, Paul Bettany, Samuel L.
Jackson, and Josh Brolin (rumored to play Thanos).
