Another day, another chapter in
Marvel's soap opera that is Ant-Man. According to Deadline, Marvel Studios
added two new names to the list of potential candidates to replace Edgar Wright
at the helm of Ant-Man.
According to the site, directors Nicholas
Stoller and Michael Dowse have been thrown to the mix. Stoller is best known
for directing Get Him to the Greek and Forgetting Sarah Marshall, as well as writing
credits on The Muppets and Yes Man. Dowse is best known for Goon.
Reports also say that despite
yesterday's news that Rawson Thurber had passed on the project, Marvel is still
eyeing the director.
Ant-Man opens on July 17th, 2015,
or so they say and stars Paul Rudd, Michael Douglas, Patrick Wilson and Matt
Gerald. Evangeline Lilly, Corey Stoll, Michael Peña, and Clifton Collins Jr.
are reportedly in talks.
