The father of the Xenomorph has passed away, at the age
of 74, following a fall. Best known for his work in Ridley Scott's Alien, which
won him the Oscar, Swiss artist H.R. Giger studied architecture and industrial design, but were
his highly sexual, sometimes grotesque bio-mechanical paintings and drawings that
caught the eyes and imaginations of the world.
