While attending a screening of his latest film, The Machine, at the Strathearn Artspace, actor Denis Lawson, who played Wedge Antilles in the original trilogy said in an interview with The Courier, that he was invited to return to the franchise but refused.
"I'm not going to do that," said Lawson. "They asked me but it just would have
bored me."
It's not really a surprise that the actor
turned down the offer, as he was never a big fan of the franchise. In fact he
even try to dissuade his nephew, Ewan McGregor from appearing in the prequels.
