A new banner for Disney's upcoming
Maleficent has landed online. Starring Angelina Jolie as Maleficent, Sharlto
Copley, Elle Fanning, Sam Riley, Imelda Staunton, Juno Temple, and Leslie
Manville, Maleficent tells "the untold story of Disney’s most iconic
villain from the 1959 classic “Sleeping Beauty.”"
The timeless tale opens on May
30, 2014.

the land’s fiercest protector, but she ultimately suffers a ruthless
betrayal—an act that begins to turn her pure heart to stone. Bent on revenge,
Maleficent faces an epic battle with the invading king’s successor and, as a
result, places a curse upon his newborn infant Aurora. As the child grows,
Maleficent realizes that Aurora holds the key to peace in the kingdom—and
perhaps to Maleficent’s true happiness as well.
Here is the new poster for the
adaptation of Michael Bond’s children book series Paddington Bear. Directed by
Paul King (Bunny and the Bull), Paddington Bear centers on a young, polite
immigrant bear from Peru where he lived his is Aunt Lucy, who is left lone and
lost at London’s Paddington Station. After being “rescued” by a kind family,
Paddington takes off in search of an explorer who inspired his Aunt Lucy years
before, while avoiding a creepy and sinister taxidermist.
Paddington will be a CGI/Live
Action film, meaning that actor Colin Firth will be lending his voice to the
CGI Paddington and Nicole Kidman will play the very much Live Taxidermist.
Regarding Sally Hawkins, Julie Walters and Jim Broadbent it’s still unknown
what their respective roles will be.
Paddington opens on November
28th, 2014 in the UK, France, Germany, Australia and New Zealand and will then
open under the TWC-Dimension banner in North America early 2015. See trailer.
A new banner for Wally
Pfister's directorial debut, Transcendence has surfaced. Starring Johnny Depp,
Paul Bettany, Rebecca Hall, Kate Mara, Cillian Murphy, Clifton Collins, Jr. and
Morgan Freeman, Transcendence follows a group of scientists that create the
first sentient computer, but when the lead researcher, Dr. Will Caster becomes
the target of an anti-technology extremist group, he suddenly becomes a
participant in his own transcendence.

is the foremost researcher in the field of Artificial Intelligence, working to
create a sentient machine that combines the collective intelligence of

stop him. However, in their attempt to destroy Will, they inadvertently become

both fellow researchers, the question is not if they can…but if they should.
Their worst fears are realized as Will’s thirst for knowledge evolves into a
seemingly omnipresent quest for power, to what end is unknown. The only thing
that is becoming terrifyingly clear is there may be no way to stop him.
Michaël R. Roskam’s crime
drama The Drop has received its first poster. Penned by Mystic River and
Shutter Island author Dennis Lehane, The Drop follows Tom Hardy, a former
criminal that works as a bartender at a bar that is used by local gangsters to
“drop” money. The story develops when Hardy's character rescues a pit bull
puppy and becomes targeted by the dogs abusive and mentally unstable owner.
The movie counts with a
stellar cast, which includes Tom Hardy, Noomi Rapace, Matthias Schoenaerts and
the great late James Gandolfini, who sadly makes with The Drop his last
appearance on film.
The Drop opens on September
