At the beginning composer, Hans Zimmer, who scored The
Dark Knight Trilogy as well as Man of Steel, was uncertain if he would return
to score Batman vs. Superman, as he didn't want to retread what he had already
done in the previous DC movies. Now however, in an interview to Digital Spy, the
composer has confirmed that he will indeed return to score the Man of Steel
sequel after he has finished Christopher Nolan's Interstellar.
"We've already had a couple of chats," Zimmer said. "And once I finish the movie that I shall not talk about I
will probably head over to where Zack is shooting his movie and just hang out a
bit and see if we can come up with any ideas."
Opening on May 6th, 2016,
Batman vs. Superman will star Henry Cavill as Superman, Ben Affleck as Batman,
Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons as
Alfred, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Laurence Fishburne as Perry White, Diane Lane
as Martha Kent and Holly Hunter, Callan Mulvey and Tao Okamoto.
