Baltasar
Kormakur's survival drama Everest already counts with an impressive cast, and
now two new stars have joined the constellation. According to THR
Robin Wright and Sam Worthington have joined Jason Clarke, Josh
Brolin, John Hawkes, Jake Gyllenhaal, Martin Henderson, Thomas M.
Wright, Emily Watson and Michael Kelly. “Wright
will play the wife of Brolin’s character, a doctor who fought the
elements over an arduous night,” while Worthington has been cast as
a “Guy Cotter, a scaling expert from New Zealand.”
The
real life story follows two different expeditions to the summit of
Mount Everest that are hindered by difficult obstacles and one of the
fiercest snowstorms ever registered.
Everest
opens in 3D and IMAX 3D on September 18th, 2015.
