Guy Pearce is the latest addition
to Scott Cooper’s drama Black Mass, which tells the story of James “Whitey” Bulger,
an Irish street thug who raised to power in the organized crime by feeding
information to his FBI connections about the Italian mafia in New England and
so building an empire. When his FBI’s contacts, John J.
Connolly Jr. and Dick Morris went down for corruption in the 1990’s Bulger took
off and was only captured more than a decade later in 2012.
Johnny Depp is playing Bulger,
Joel Edgerton is rumored to be playing John Connolly and Guy Pearce is for a
part as one of Bulger two brothers.
