Cinemax has released the first
promo for director Steven Soderbergh’s coming out of retirement project, The
Knick starring Clive Owen, Andre Holland (42), Danny Hoch (Black Hawk Down),
Suzanne Savoy (Boardwalk Empire and House of Cards), Jeremy Bob (You Don’t Know
Jack, House of Cards) and Ying Ying Li.
The ten episode drama takes place
in New York in 1900 and stars Clive Owen as a surgeon at the Knickerbocker Hospital
in a time when antibiotics were just fiction, medical procedures were very
dangerous and the mortality rate was extremely high.
The network had already delivered
