Earlier this week it was announced that Attack the
Block star John Boyega was in the lead to star as Miles Dyson's (Cyberdyne
engineer) son, but it was noted that since it was rumored that actor was also
in talks for a lead role in J.J. Abrams Star Wars: Episode VII and could not
appear in both projects. Now Variety is reporting that The Hunger Games and The
Spectacular Now star Dayo Okeniyi has snatch the Dyson's son role.
Does this mean that with Okeniyi taking the role in
the new Terminator entry Boyega will be flying off to Star Wars? Well casting
announcements for Star Wars should be hitting any time as produciton is
expected to start in May.
Originally actor Joe Morton played the character in
Terminator 2: Judgment Day and later on actor Phil Morris stepped into the same
shoes in the tv series Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles.
