The good folks over at Magnolia Pictures must be die-hard fans of the Valentine’s Day as they just released the official theatrical cut to Lars Von Trier’s Nymphomaniac: Volume I, starring Charlotte Gainsbourg, Stellan Skarsgard, Shia LaBouf, Stacy Martin, Christian Slater, Jamie Bell, Uma Thurman, Willem Dafoe, Connie Nielsen, Udo Kier and Sophie Kennedy Clark.
The film stars Charlotte
Gainsbourg as Joe, a self-diagnosed nymphomaniac who recounts her life story to
Seligman (Stellan Skarsgard), an old, charming bachelor who finds Joe beaten up
in an alley.
Nymphomaniac is a two volume
film, with Volume One being released in theaters on March 21st and VOD in March
6th and Volume Two being released in theaters on April 18th and on VOD in April
3rd.

Synopsis:
Nymphomaniac: Volume I is the
story of Joe (Charlotte Gainsbourg), a self-diagnosed nymphomaniac who is
discovered badly beaten in an alley by an older bachelor, Seligman (Stellan
Skarsgård), who takes her into his home. As he tends to her wounds, she
recounts the erotic story of her adolescence and young-adulthood (portrayed in
flashback by newcomer Stacy Martin).
