Deadline is reporting that SGU –
Stargate Universe and The Invisible star Michelle Harrison has been cast to
play the recurring role of Nora Allen, Barry Allen’s mother in Arrow’s spin-off
series The Flash. At this time there aren’t any details about the character but
given that Barry (Grant Gustin) spoke about his mother death in his debut
episode of Arrow, it’s likely that like Arrow, Flash will use flashbacks to
introduce characters.
The actress will join Grant
Gustin as Barry Allen/Flash, Candice Patton as Iris West, Jesse L. Martin as
Detective West, Rick Gosnett as Police Detective Eddie Thawne, Carlos Valdes as
Cisco Ramon, Danielle Panabaker as S.T.A.R. Labs bioengineer Caitlin Snow, Tom
Cavanagh as S.T.A.R.S. Lab CEO Harrison Wells and John Wesley Shipp.
