Last year we reported that The
Weinstein Company had secured screenwriter Brad Copeland (Wild Hogs) to pen the
script for the big screen adaptation of the 1980’s tv series Knight Rider. For
those of that unfamiliar with the show, it starred David Hasselhoff as Michael
Knight, a high-tech crime fighter that with the help of his also high-tech car
K.I.T.T. roam the country fighting crime and corruption.
In 2008 a new tv series but it
fell short of expectations and not even a single season managed to complete.
Now according to Smoes Know, actors
“Chris Pratt and Danny McBride are in talks” to star in the big screen
adaptation. At this time this is all just a rumor, but if true the news outlet
speculates, “I think Pratt is being looked at for Michael Knight and McBride
for the voice of KITT”.
