Here is a first look at Ralph Ziman’s live action adaptation of the 1998 cult anime OVA (Original Video Animation), Kite, starring Samuel L. Jackson, Eisley, Callan McAuliffe, Cleo Rinkwest, Russel Savadier, Keci Eatock, Matthew Van Leeve and Jaco Muller.
He OVA was written and directed
by Yasuomi Umetsu and tells the story of Sawa, a sexually abused orphaned girl
who becomes an assassin.
It’s doubtful that the live
action will come any close to the anime, because of the high level of in your
face violence and graphic sex scenes of the source material.
Kite will be released in 2014,
but no further details are available.
