Just before the holydays,
writor/director Quentin Tarantino revealed that his next film after Django
Unchained would be another western, saying that “I had so much fun doing
Django, and I love Westerns so much that after I taught myself how to make one,
it’s like ‘OK! Let me make another one now that I know what I’m doing.” And while
the director didn’t gave anymore details regarding the film at that time, it
seems that things are now a bit far ahead and he is showing the script to a
handful of actors that he wants for the lead roles.
Titled The Hateful Eight, the
director as reportedly showed the script to his regular collaborator Christoph
Waltz as well as actor Bruce Dern. Waltz
starred in Inglourious Basterds and Django Unchained, winning best supporting
actor both times, while Dern played Old Man Carrucan in Django.
At this time there aren’t any
solid details to give but according to THR, principal photography should starts
early this summer.
