Two days ago we reported that a Batman centered news website had some sort of inside info on the upcoming Batman vs. Superman, mainly regarding Lex Luthor’s appearance in the film as well as another villain, the change of Wonder Woman’s origin story and other bits and pieces, but it seems that it was ALL speculation done by the website, who was answering some of their fans questions. I would like to apologize for the utter nonsense and waste of your time, but
when someone replies to a question with “Yes. And sorry, I’m not at liberty to
reveal the ID of the other villain at this time…but the character is highly
rumored to be in the film.” we take it that someone on the website had talked
with someone on the production and was teasing fans, but apparently not, just fantasy
on their part, but which may or may not come to be.
Well after such affirmations went
not viral but wide spread, the Batman centered website has released a statement
saying that they were just guessing and that it was pretty much our fault for
the wide spread of their “””“news””””. Perhaps in the future before writing this
things one should begin by saying …in my fantasies…
“Apparently, several outlets picked up on what
I wrote in the mailbag below – especially my take on how Amazons might be
explained in ‘Batman vs. Superman’ – and claimed that I was reporting it as
fact and/or that it was a ‘rumor’ I had heard.
They. Are. All. WRONG.
It’s nothing more than me
guessing how Goyer and Snyder might characterize Wonder Woman and the origin of
the Amazons. Carry on…”
We did say at the end of the
article that “As always we should take this with a grain of salt, since it’s
just rumor, speculation and perhaps wishful thinking.”
