Per The Hollywood Reporter, comic book legend Stan Lee and former Marvel
Studios President Avi Arad are teaming up for a new movie. At this time there
aren’t many details about the project, and if we believe Arad’s “Some titles
give away too much”, then any kind of scoops, hints or official news will only
come when everything is ready.
What is known about the Untitled Lee/Arad Project is
that it is set at Columbia Pictures and besides Lee and Arad as producers, Gill
Champion from Stan Lee’s Pow Entertainment will also be producing. The script seems
to be in its infancy, but the producers are already meeting with possible
screenwriter to pen the script.
"At the ripe old age of 90, he can still put
together magic," Arad said about Lee. "He’s as sharp as a Japanese
cooking knife. His mind is as young as it used to be."
Lee’s track record is pretty much of public knowledge;
Arad basically produced all of Marvel’s comic book adaptations to the big
screen, as for Champion he executive-produced Morgan Spurlock’s Comic-Con
Episode IV: A Fan's Hope.
