Star Wars Live Action TV Series Won’t Be “Deadwood In Space”

According to a Disney insider at the Blue Sky Disney Blog, the huge success of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. on ABC is making the executives to think twice about the plans for a live action tv series of Star Wars.

Originally it was going to be called Star Wars: Underworld and was being described as “Deadwood in space” and a “Empire Strikes Back on steroids”, but according to the blog, “being as it would be on ABC it is unlikely that Disney would want it to be that dark.”

The series was going to take place in between the prequel trilogy and the original trilogy, but now it’s timeline is unknown.

“The narratives being discussed right now go back between making a series out of the stories they originally got written, which will be set at the dawn of the Empire,” writes Blue Sky Disney, “or creating a whole new set of adventures after the destruction of the Galactic Empire set at the dawn of the New Republic.”
