Miles Teller Confirms Fantastic Four Rumor

After the spectacular The Spectacular Now, actor Miles Teller is now leading the R rated romantic comedy That Awkward Moment and will next been seen in the adaptation of author Veronica Roth’s young adult book Divergent, which although is yet to be released, already has a sequel scheduled to be shoot. The sequel will be called Insurgent and will be shooting in April of next year. Of course that some recent young adult films also had sequels scheduled before the first film even hit theaters and then they were quickly scrapped, so we can assume that it will be sometime between the release of the first film (March 21st) and the beginning of shooting the second.

This talk comes with a reason. Some months ago it was rumored that the actor was being eyed to play Mr. Fantastic in director Josh Trank’s (Chronicle) The Fantastic Four reboot. At the time Trank dismissed the rumor as it just being that.

“the casting rumor floating around today isn’t true…the end.”
Now however it seems that it is kind of true. Although not officially confirmed, the actor tells Fandango that it’s possible that he could be in the film.
“Uh, you know, I don’t know,” Teller told us. “If that happens, if everything works out, then I will be pretty pumped. But then I’ll also be working for … it’s like seven months out of your year. Which is not a bad problem.”

So if Trank is really keen on having Teller as Mr. Fantastic, then a Fantastic Four film will be a long ways away, since we can assume the actor signed a multi-picture deal to be on the Divergent franchise, which means that any shooting, re-shooting…will take priority over any stretching of the limbs.
