Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. New Character?

With ratings dropping from episode to episode, thanks to neither hot or cold characters and a story that refuses to pass the pilot stage Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. seems interested in adding a new character to the mix.

According to LR “trusted sources”, the show creators (Whedon brothers and Maurissa Tancharoen) and ABC are going to introduce S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent Victoria Hand, which is going to be played by the British Actress Saffron Burrows… in only one episode. To be true, this will be a repetition of one of the problems that the show has, too much of a sitcom, a show like this needs steady characters, which it has but also fixed and visible villains that go from episode to episode so audiences believe that the characters and the World is in “real” danger.

Yes there is the Centipede and Extremis technology but so far in only two episodes, the pilot and episode five “Girl in the Flower Dress” and what happened in Tahiti?

I know that the show need to find its way, but at the speed that it’s losing viewers it will be another Firefly.

Regardless, here is the description that Saffron Borrows will play, via Marvel Wikia.

“Three years before the Skrull Invasion, Victoria was an accountant for S.H.I.E.L.D., who was in a relationship with another agent named Isabelle. Victoria was determined to send a letter informing Director Nick Fury how he was mishandling the War on Terror. Isabelle implored Victoria not to send the letter but Victoria did anyways and was transferred immediately to Portland, Oregon. As a result, Isabelle, furious that she did not listen to her, ended their relationship.”
