Before
he was known as the king of summer blockbusters, producer Jerry Bruckheimer
first began his career producing small movies that eventually turned into
blockbusters, like, Beverly Hills Cop, Top Gun and later on Bad Boys.
Regarding
Top Gun 2, there was at some point a script but with the death of Tony Scott in
2012, any development on the movie seems to have stop.
About
Beverly Hills Cop 4, CBS recently passed on the pilot earlier this year, but apparently
Paramount got interested and is now trying to get the fourth film off the
ground, with Bruckheimer keen on returning has producer. For quite some time
actor Eddie Murphy has been trying to get the film made, he even grabbed the
Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol writers Josh Applebaum and Andre Nemec to
write the script, but with Bruckheimer interest in returning to the project,
maybe the fourth installment in the franchise will take off.
The
last time anything pertinent to Bad Boys 3 came out was three ago when
actor/comedian Martin Lawrence said that he had talked with Michael Bay and
Will Smith about the project, but now according to Variety Jerry “Bruckheimer
is helping to develop the script for Bad Boys 3.” So let’s wait for Bay to
finish with Transformers: Age of Extinction and see if the project starts or
not.
